Qatar Steel Company participated in The Big 5 2013 - International Building & Construction Show, which was held recently in Dubai.
Qatar Steel was the silver sponsor of the event, which attracted over 2,500 exhibitors from 75 countries.
Qatar had a special pavilion at the event, comprising 33
national companies (11 more than last year), aiming to boost the competitive position of the exporting companies and
develop and promote Qatari exports in the building and construction sector.
The Big 5 is the largest trade show for the construction industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
Qatar Steel’s exhibition stand design was based on traditional Qatari design. It featured decoration in traditional Arabic style along with a display of steel products and by-products.
Qatar Steel was featured in all media as one of the event’s main sponsors and a leading sustainable producer of steel in the region. The Qatar Steel logo and silver sponsor credits appeared on the main event signage at The Big 5 and the company logo also appeared on the front cover of the exhibition directory.
The Big 5 provided a good opportunity for exhibitors to display their products and services, expand their business activities, meet a large number of potential customers and suppliers, discuss different issues and get updated on the building and construction sector, which is currently witnessing enormous growth in the Arabian Gulf.
Qatar Steel is keen to participate in the event every year as it highlights the booming construction industry in the region and is a meeting place for building and civil engineering professionals, traders and businessmen interested in the construction sector, both international and locally.
