The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has trained 25 senior management staffers on enhancing their communication skills.
Headed and attended by Ashghal president Nasser bin Ali al-Mawlawi, the training titled “Meeting the Press” was held at the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre.
The course included methods of dealing with media channels, on-camera practice, use of body language, and preparation for media interviews. The course also deepened the understanding of media and its tools. It also explained the foundations and rules while handling different media platforms, including television and radio.
The training defined the foundations of interviews and their different styles, and covered methods of organising conferences and other special events. While lauding the course Ashghal human resources manager Saif Ali al-Kaabi said more such training programmes could be expected.
At the graduation ceremony, al-Mawlawi, and other senior officials, including Meshal al-Hitmi, Dr Abdullah al-Ajmi, Saif Ali al-Kaabi, Abeer al-Hajri, Ghanem al-Mansoori, Nasser Ghaith al-Kuwari, Saoud Ali al-Tamimi, Johara al-Mansoor, Abdulla Ahin, and Mostafa Kamal Azzam, were present.
