Straight from field of action: GT in deal to expand sports coverage

The country’s leaders have been working hard to promote a healthy and vibrant sport community. Visitors and residents of Qatar  have over the years been offered a wealth of sports events to view, as well as opportunities to stay fit through the many recreational activities.The country today boasts of some of the world’s most advanced sporting facilities and plays host to 27 world-class sport events each year. It was this sporting vision that was the driving force behind Qatar’s successful bid to become the first Middle East nation to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022.Gulf Times has been an active partner in taking Qatar’s sporting vision forward.
