QP staff at DO Tawasul 2014 held recently at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The Operations Directorate of the Qatar Petroleum recently held “DO Tawasul Day 2014” at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
The event gave an opportunity to its newly trained speakers and presenters to showcase their communication and presentation skills.
The event featured the second batch of employees from the Operations Directorate who had undergone training in technical writing and presentation skills recently.
The training programme was in line with the objectives of Director of Operations Said Mubarak al-Mohannadi, who wanted to elevate the image of QP at international conferences by enhancing the presentation skills of speakers from the directorate.
This objective was first realised when a group of presenters from QP performed remarkably well at the International Production and Operations Conference and Exhibition (POCE), held in Doha in May 2012. It was hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
So far, the training programme has benefited over 40 employees from QP’s Operations Directorate and its various departments, namely Dukhan Operations, Offshore Operations, the Drilling Department and Gas Operations.
The “DO Tawasul Day 2014” enabled the latest batch of presenters to demonstrate the techniques that they have acquired in public speaking. The new speakers spoke on a host of corporate topics.
The event was attended by many members of the senior management of the Operations Directorate. Al-Mohannadi personally honoured the outstanding presenters.
The Best Presenter Award at the “DO Tawasul Day 2014” went to Business Relations Co-ordinator at Dukhan Operations Eiman Yousef. Head of Reliability, Hussain Ali al-Baloshi, and Budget and Cost Control Engineer (Development) at Operations Engineering-Offshore Fields, Hissa al-Shriem, were placed second and third, respectively.
