Al khaliji has launched a “unique” credit card that offers “unparalleled” benefits and amenities for its premium customers. The latest ‘Visa Signature’ credit card offers varied benefits that specifically targets international travellers.

These benefits include “no fees or forex” on foreign currency transactions allowing up to 5% in savings on overseas transactions, free airport lounge access at more than 600 airports, free Schengen-compliant multi-trip travel insurance (covering medical evacuation, emergency medical expenses, travel accident cover, baggage loss/delay, and travel delay), free extended warranty, purchase protection, and medical and legal referral, the bank said.

The main feature of the Visa Signature card is that it allows customers to personalise their cards by choosing from four designs giving it a unique look – just like one’s signature. Another highlight is the free concierge service available to all cardholders.

Cardholders can call the 24/7 concierge and request for last-minute tickets to the Champions League final or re-scheduling of connecting flights in case a trip has been delayed, or arranging delivery of items that has sold-out in Qatar.

Al khaliji head (personal banking) Gary Mond said the bank is “committed to offering its premium banking customers’ products and services that meet their needs, whether in Qatar or overseas. It is on the promise of this commitment and our strong understanding of our customers that we have designed and developed our premium banking offering.”

“The Visa Signature credit card, which we have carefully tailored to fit our premium banking customers’ international usage patterns, is no exception to this progressive and customer-focused mindset,” he added.

Isaac Thomas, Visa’s general manager (Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain) said, “The launch of the Visa Signature card by al khaliji is a milestone in our joint endeavour to provide the best-in-class propositions to their customers.”

Thomas added, “The bank’s affluent customers now have access to a host of Signature features and benefits specifically designed to enhance their lifestyle along with a convenient, reliable and secure method of making electronics payments at home and worldwide. Our partnership with al khaliji demonstrates Visa’s continued commitment to Qatar and we plan to work even more closely with our partners here to develop propositions that grow their market share and satisfy their customers’ needs.”
