Philips has showcased some of its innovative kitchen appliances - designed to help make food preparation easier, quicker and healthier - at the Qatar International Food Festival, which concluded yesterday.

The Avance XL Airfryer can lessen the fat of fried foods such as samosas, dumplings, fried desserts and oil-heavy rice dishes up to 80% compared with a conventional fryer using little or no oil.

For making smooth and chunky soups easier and faster, the heated blender called Viva Collection SoupMaker can make four portions of soup in just 20 minutes with no need to monitor or stir.

Philips also brought its Avance Juicer which can make up to 2 litres of juice from fruits and vegetables, a healthier way of getting more vitamins and minerals. It features QuickClean technology, a quick cleaning process that takes less than a minute and saves time spent in the kitchen.

“The power of homemade food is unmatchable and getting your favourite dishes with the right taste but simply healthier is what we are offering our consumers so they can enjoy their favourite dishes in a healthier way,” said Ozlem Fidanci, general manager and vice president at Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Middle East and Turkey.

“Philips and Almana & Partners are happy to be associated with QIFF in their drive to promote healthy food and lifestyle.”
