Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar ( VCU-Q) is presenting the ‘BFA and MFA Exhibition 2014’, the annual exhibition of the graduating artists and designers with an opening reception at VCU-Q today evening. The exhibition is a celebration of the creative achievements of the university’s graduating students and provides the opportunity to preview Qatar’s emerging talent in the fields of graphic, fashion and interior design, painting and  printmaking, and design studies.Featuring a wide range of work that represents the culmination of the techniques and concepts developed throughout their experience at VCU-Q, the exhibition invites visitors to discover the departmental exhibition zones in Room 390, for the BFA exhibition, and the Gallery, for the MFA exhibition. The exhibition will run until 4 June, 2014.“Graduation is a hugely exciting time for our students, and a culmination of their experience at VCU-Q,” said Caitlín Doherty, exhibitions and speaker curator at VCU-Q.“It is particularly exciting, therefore, that the BFA and MFA Exhibition forms part of these celebrations because it provides an opportunity to bring together all of our graduating students, from across all art and design disciplines, and showcase their creative achievements. For many, this is the first time that they have formally exhibited, not as students, but rather as artists and designers, and so this is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends, as well as industry representatives, to see the work of Qatar’s emerging creative talent,” she added.‘The Gallery at VCU-Q is open to the public Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
