HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has attended the Royal Ascot horse racing festival, which was held at Ascot Racecourse England, at the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries. The festival was attended by princes and a number of senior figures of the British society and senior owners and lovers of horse racing in Britain and the world. HH the Emir later attended a luncheon hosted by Queen Elizabeth II in his honour at Windsor Palace. The banquet was attended by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani and HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad al-Thani. It was also attended by a number of princes and members of the royal family.
