The Pearl-Qatar in line with its observance of the holy month of Ramadan is  hosting Qatar Charity’s Al-Baraha tent which features a series of religious and cultural activities targeting the island’s residents and surrounding community.

The Pearl-Qatar’s Al-Baraha tent adjacent to the mosque at Porto Arabia’s entrance was inaugurated on the 3rd day of Ramadan and its activities  will extend until the 19th day of the month.

The daily programme which takes place between 9:00pm and 11:00pm includes “Taraweeh” prayers, religious lectures, Qur’an sermons and Islamic recitations “Inshad” by prominent religious scholars. It also organises  knowledge-based entertainment through a number of interactive events targeting children and families including competitions with prizes. There is also  a food section catered by  the Hospitality Development Company’s Al-Tabkha and a traditional food and craft market operated by Qatari families.

Abdulrahim al-Ibrahim, director of The Pearl-Qatar Central Authority, said:  “This Ramadan activity is far more than an experience mirroring the unique and different lifestyle that The Pearl-Qatar promises to provide in Ramadan. It is an attempt at consolidating ties with our residents and stakeholders by bringing them closer to the true meaning of community living and virtuous being reflected in Islam’s teachings.”
