North Korean man detained in alcohol case

A man, identified as a North Korean, has been detained by police for brewing alcohol and selling, sources said yesterday. Police are investigating.
The sources said the man was working as an interpreter for a group employing North Korean workers in a GCC country. He has been accused of selling alcohol to workers of North Korea and a third country.
The sources said that he had also been accused of dealing in drugs which had been seized from his car.
If found guilty by the court, he will be sentenced to a jail term followed by deportation, the sources said.
