Star Cinema will continue its 20th anniversary celebration in its latest offering Past Tense, a romantic comedy starring three of the industry’s box office royalties Kim Chui, Xian Lim and Comedy Concert Queen AiAi delas Alas.

Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, whose blockbuster film credits include Catch Me . . . I’m in Love (2011), She’s the One (2013), and Bride for Rent, which was Star Cinema’s very successful opening salvo this 2014. The script is written through the combined efforts of Melissa Mae Chua, Katherine Labayen, and Vanessa Valdez.

Past Tense is a fresh romantic comedy centred on the colourful life of  Bhe  (AiAi) who wakes up from a 20-year coma in 2034, and is given a chance to correct past mistakes and make things right in her life.

Bhe returns to the year 2014 as her younger self, Belle (Kim), only to discover the truth about her boyfriend Carlos (Daniel Matsunaga), and the real feelings of her best friend Babs (Xian) about her. Belle attempts to tamper with history by altering her past without realising that she could be putting her future life at risk of  becoming worse.

Past Tense is a film about the consequences people have to deal with, the changes they have to face, and the chances they have to give, based on the many choices they have to make in their lifetime.

With the winning combination of the country’s ace comedienne, a certified blockbuster director, and a love team that is adored by millions, Past Tense is predicted to be another blockbuster hit that will soon be part of Star Cinema’s history.

The movie hits theatres on November 26.
