Qatar Duty Free (QDF) is celebrating Chinese New Year with special promotions and activities at a bespoke Chinese-themed pavilion inside Hamad International Airport (HIA) until February 28.Strategically located behind the iconic teddy bear in the departures hall of HIA, the 180sq m pavilion has been built especially for this occasion and offers a variety of activities with staff dressed in traditional costume for the duration of the festival.“Chinese New Year is a very important cultural event that Qatar Duty Free likes to celebrate every year with enticing promotions and discounts,” said Qatar Duty Free senior vice president Keith Hunter.“Following our move to Hamad International Airport earlier this year, we now have the opportunity to take our activity to a new level by constructing a 180sq m-Chinese-themed pavilion and offering an even wider range of products, promotions and typical Chinese activities such as traditional tea tasting,” Hunter said.All guests transiting and departing through HIA during the Chinese New Year period will be issued with an 8% discount gift voucher that they are entitled to use in the Chinese pavilion on categories including fragrances, skincare, confectionery, luxury watches, gifts and souvenirs.
