The Qatar Stars League (QSL), the highest professional league in Qatari football, announced its partnership with Sout Al Khaleej Radio Station as the Official Media Partner for the Qatar Cup. A special signing ceremony was held yesterday at QSL’s headquarters.  
Attending the signing ceremony from QSL’s side were CEO Hani Taleb Ballan, Marketing & Communication Executive Director Khalifa al-Haroon, Head of General Events Hassan al-Kuwari, and Head of Corporate Sponsorship Meshaal al-Emadi. Salem al-Mansouri, Acting Director of Sout al- Khaleej attended on the radio station’s behalf with Rashid al-Mohannadi, Head of the Sports’ Department at Sout Al Khaleej, and Mohammad Abdullah Hussien, Studios Manager.
As the much anticipated Qatar Cup draws near, QSL is gearing up to bring all the excitement and latest updates on the field to thousands of football fans across the airwaves in Qatar. Through the partnership agreement, Sout Al Khaleej will be promoting the Qatar Cup with live coverage, interviews, competitions, advertisements and news updates.
Hani Taleb Ballan commented, “We are delighted to have Sout Al Khaleej join us this year in bringing an even more entertaining Qatar Cup. Our goal is to engage the audience at home and give them the opportunity to enjoy the competition as if they were on the field. Sout Al Khaleej is one of the most prominent radio stations in Qatar, appealing to thousands of families and sports fans in country, after its successful coverage of the newly rebranded Qatar Cup last year.”
This is not the first time Sout Al Khaleej has become a major partner in sporting events in Qatar. The renowned radio station has previously partnered with QSL during the Heir Apparent Cup and again last season for the first edition of Qatar Cup.
Previously referred to as the Heir Apparent Cup, Qatar Cup is the pinnacle of the Qatar Stars League and is one of Qatar’s most prestigious events on the sporting calendar. The Cup is played on a knock-out format and involves the top four finishing teams of the regular Qatar Stars League season.
