The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has issued a warning against the use of “Burning Fats Slimming Capsules” as it contains mercury, a toxic heavy metal, and some other substances banned globally for adverse side effects that may even cause death. “A case of death was reported in a neighbouring country due to the use of this drug which is not licensed in Qatar,” the SCH Pharmacy and Drug Control Department said in a statement yesterday. The council reiterated its warning against the use of unlicensed drugs which are often promoted through social media channels.
