QNB has recognised the success of employees who recently completed the English Language Skills Development Programme at a graduation ceremony hosted by the Human Capital Division at the QNB Al Mathaf building.
Thirty-two QNB staff members from a wide range of divisions, including Retail, Trade Finance, Communications, Strategy and Operations, participated in the programme, all completing seven weeks of training.
English skills are an essential asset in the QNB employee’s skill-set and the Group operates an English Language Skills Development Programme comprising four levels of instruction, each benchmarked against international standards across all four language skills.
The programme develops employees’ functional language skills, enabling them to communicate across the bank’s international network and become ambassadors for QNB in all their working interactions, the bank said in a statement.
The range of topics covered on the programme are all related to QNB business, with modules including professional communications, teamwork, leadership, successful meetings, customer service and telephoning.
Employees’ skills are measured using precise language diagnostics that allow trainers to target specific areas of difficulty on an individual basis. The programme also features an integrated use of technology to enhance learning, including the provision of a supportive online learning environment.
Along with QNB’s international expansion strategy, the Group is keen on maintaining its initiatives to continue delivering unique training courses and programmes to all employees, ensuring continual professional development and reinforcing the Group as both an “employer of choice” in Qatar and a “promoter of excellence” across its growing international network, the statement added.
