Ooredoo has been named the main sponsor of the 117th Philippine Independence Day celebrations, which will be held at Sheraton Doha today.The all-day event will feature a singing competition, an art contest, a magic show, a fun zone for children, a trade fair, a food festival, a mini car show and more.As part of Ooredoo’s sponsorship, the company will set up a special Ooredoo booth to provide information on the “cheapest way to call the Philippines from Qatar”, Ooredoo Mobile Money services, Hala Smart bundles, Hala mobile Internet packs and top-ups. The Ooredoo booth will also host several prize giveaways, including free data cards and Ooredoo merchandise. Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo has been a proud sponsor of the Philippine Independence Day for a number of years and we’re happy to see this celebration continue to grow and get bigger each year.
