Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has announced the opening of its sixth Jamocha Café located at HIA’s latest activity node on Concourse C of Hamad International Airport (HIA). This popular café concept, created by Qatar Duty Free to offer passengers a unique experience, already has five outlets around the airport. The sixth location is expected  to be the busiest of all the outlets due to its prime location near the gates in Concourse C of the airport’s south node.“Jamocha has become a recognised and preferred café brand for many of our guests since opening our first branch at Hamad International Airport in 2014,” said senior vice-president Qatar Duty Free, Keith Hunter. “By opening a sixth outlet we hope to give more passengers the opportunity to try the wonderful fair trade coffee together with a selection of homemade sandwiches and snacks on offer at this branch of Jamocha, which is located conveniently close to the gates in Concourse C.”Jamocha Café was specifically designed for the airport environment and serves 400 cups of coffee at one time or simply beautifully prepared Peruvian organic expresso served with homemade biscotti. Having the ability to instantly change, tweak or fine tune the model in order to meet demand is a key element that many high street concessionaires struggle to accommodate, which is why creating the Jamocha concept internally was critical to QDF’s food and beverage strategy. The six Jamocha Cafés are supported by an in-house production facility that allows QDF to freshly produce food throughout the day, to meet both demand and quality. Fresh croissants and artisan boulangerie goods are baked three times a day to ensure that passengers receive beautifully presented, fresh and authentic pastries regardless of the time of day, and giving QDF more control over quality and consistency.Jamocha’s Baristas are trained specifically on all food elements and are on hand to assist guests with their choice from the menu which includes Greek yoghurt pots with homemade muesli, mango, Tahitian vanilla or banana and strawberry; Chocolate fondant; homemade American cheese cake; and a complete range of sandwiches and paninis. Apart from serving an exquisite range of beautifully prepared fair trade coffee, the Jamocha team also had lots of fun developing cool beverages such as the Oreo Smoothie, Jamocha after 8, Cinnamon Dolce Latte, Masala Chai, the Mango Mint shake and other signature drinks that include the White Chocolate Mocha. Jamocha also recommends its great tasting gelato, sourced from the famous Farggi range, which is not only a beautiful treat but really enhances the taste when introduced into the beverages. At HIA, QDF offers 40,000 square metres of combined retail, food and beverage facilities, establishing the retailer as a premier shopping and dining destination. With more than 70 retail outlets offering an unprecedented selection of designer labels, fashion, electronics, gourmet foods and much more, Qatar Duty Free at HIA caters to all passengers’ tastes. In addition, more than 30 cafés and restaurants offer a sumptuous selection of global and local cuisine. Other luxury brands also available at HIA include Bulgari, Hermès, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc, Rolex and Chanel.Qatar Duty Free (QDF) operates out of Hamad International Airport (HIA) in addition to an outlet at Doha Port. The innovative, award-winning duty free operator has enjoyed consistent double-digit growth year-on-year and is now the second largest duty free operator in the Middle East.
