Hassan al-Emadi appointed Dolphin Energy general manager
Dolphin Energy has announced that Hassan al-Emadi has been appointed its general manager, Qatar.Al-Emadi takes over from Adel Ahmed Albuainain, who has been appointed chief executive officer, following the retirement of his predecessor, Ibrahim Ahmed al-Ansari.Al-Emadi has earlier served Dolphin Energy as chief operations officer (Upstream). His replacement is Ali al-Rahbi, who has been promoted from the post of senior vice-president (HSE&S).Commenting on the promotions, Albuainain said, “I would like to congratulate Hassan and Ali on their promotions. Both have more than 20 years collective experience at the company and will bring insight and expertise to their new roles. I wish them both well as they settle into their new positions.”The changes come at a time when the company is focusing on many important initiatives, from exploring opportunities with its partners to secure additional volumes of natural gas, increasing the commitment in the areas of HSE and sustainability to seeking to expand the distribution network downstream. “We have also just announced a very important long-term service agreement with Siemens, which will help ensure the availability and reliability of natural gas supplies to the UAE and Oman for another 18 years. I am delighted that we have two very experienced oil and gas professionals, who are already part of the company fabric, holding these positions of importance and responsibility,” Albuainain concluded.
