Jordanian minister praises bilateral ties with Qatar

QNA/AmmanJordanian Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Khaled al-Kalaldeh has praised the deep-rooted relations between his country and the State of Qatar, saying they are based on brotherhood and mutual respect. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA),  al-Kaladeh said that the Jordanian-Qatari relations are based on brotherhood and historical mutual respect, stressing that the objective is to enhance the co-operation to more advanced levels. Al-Kaladeh lauded Qatar’s support for energy, health, transport, construction and railway projects in Jordan, while expressing his appreciation for the assistance and contribution provided by the Gulf states in the promotion of his country’s economy. The Jordanian minister added that the Gulf states always stood by Jordan, referring in this regard to the donation worth $5bn dinars to support development projects in the kingdom.  On the Syrian issue, al-Kalaldeh expressed his hope that the Russian intervention in Syria would not cause new waves of displacement of Syrian refugees to Jordan.  He noted that his country provides refuge to 1.4mn Syrians, adding that Jordan has the ability to  accommodate 250,000 new refugees.
