The three-day ‘Launch’ conference opened yesterday with a series of workshops for Qatari professionals who want to enhance their career.
Taking place from December 1 to 3 at Marriot Marquis Hotel Doha, the event offers participants the opportunity to gain insights into self-development tools and techniques. It also gives them the chance to network with industry experts and peers.
“It is really a great pleasure to be here with you in this educational event and dedicating your time to invest in yourself,” Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) CEO Dr Abdulaziz al-Horr told participants at the first session yesterday.
He was one of the keynote speakers at the conference centred on the theme “Mind and Motivation” which provides a platform for Qatari
participants.
A range of speakers such as Nicola Simpson from Qatar Develoment and Consultancy Centre, Afraa al-Noaimi from Jossor Institute, and Elizabeth Fleming, Founder and CEO of Launch also engaged participants in a number of interesting topics.
Today’s activities will focus on ‘Motivation’ which will include game-changing workshops such as Key to Unlocking Success, Happiness, What Makes You Tick, and Creating Followers: tapping into Motivation.
The conference will conclude with interactive workshops tomorrow, facilitated by highly experienced industry professionals. These include speakers from the Bedaya Centre, Simpson, Ammar Mohamed (Social Media Solutions), and Daniel Mills, assistant director, organisational
development.
Participants will also be given access to a range of local and international speakers who are at the peak of their respective professions and can offer professional advice.
The inaugural conference in April saw more than 150 Qatari professionals from various Qatari-based companies including Ooredoo, Commercial Bank, RasGas, Qatar University, Qatari Diar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, beIN Sports and Injaz Qatar.
“Launch is beneficial for Qatari nationals who already have some business or career experience, who are looking to continue developing their career or professional practice,” Fleming said in a statement.
