Students participate in the “largest practical science lesson” at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi yesterday. As many as 2,000 school students took part in the event in an attempt to set a new world record, organisers said. According to the Guinness World Records, the existing record is held by 1,339 Irish pupils who achieved the feat in February this year. Fifty students from 40 schools each, wearing laboratory coats and gloves participated in the 65-minute-long chemistry experiment at the IIT.
