Ooredoo has launched an “inspirational” song for the Qatar National Day celebrations, featuring national stars, champions and members of the Ooredoo family.

The song is being showcased in a special film, shot at Katara – the Cultural Village, and will run in the build-up to Qatar National Day. The film will be promoted across Ooredoo’s social media channels using the hashtag #WeAreAllQatar, as well as being screened on Ooredoo’s Mozaic TV.

Ooredoo’s film includes a host of national figures, including rally champion and Olympic medal-winner Nasser al-Attiyah, the Ooredoo racing team of Fahad al-Suwaidi and Meshal al-Noaimi, Qatar national football team players Meshal Abdullah and Khalid Muftah, and Qatari painter Hassan bu Jassoum.

To showcase the people of Qatar, Ooredoo employees and management are also featured in the film, as well as a number of school boys and girls, Qatar Camaro Club, Qatar Cycling Federation and a variety of members from across Qatar’s community.

Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo Qatar, said: “This year, we wanted to demonstrate our pride in our country by bringing together a host of our friends, partners and employees to showcase the diverse range of talents present in Qatar. Qatar National Day celebrates all the amazing achievements of our country, which are embodied in the people of the nation, and our song and film is a tribute to that spirit.”

Besides the video and social media messages, Ooredoo will host a number of Qatar National Day events, including a special exhibition at Katara that will demonstrate the company’s and Qatar’s growth since the first telecom services began in 1949.
