Employees of Katara Hospitality commemorated Qatar National Day through colourful festivities at their Doha headquarters.
To honour the occasion, the company showcased an exhibition under the theme “Celebration of Qatari Life”.
The visual display demonstrated the growth of Qatar and the transition of hotels since the company’s inception in 1970, with numerous key milestones being highlighted from the last four decades.
Traditional Qatari cuisine was on offer and served with Arabic coffee in a majlis setting. To add to the celebratory atmosphere and occasion, employees enjoyed activities synonymous with local culture, including henna artistry, falconry and the aromas of traditional “bahkour”.
A cake-cutting ceremony was held in the presence of general managers of Katara Hospitality’s local properties.
“It is an honour to celebrate the hard work, tireless dedication and uncompromising values that have inspired the continued growth and ongoing successes of our great nation of Qatar today,” said Katara Hospitality CEO Hamad a-Mulla. “Katara Hospitality is elated to be a part of commemorations that highlight the rich history, cultural heritage and political, social and economic accomplishments that solidify Qatar’s strength as a nation.”
