KidzMondo Doha, one of the largest indoor ‘edutainment’ theme parks, has partnered with Qatar Airways (QA) to provide children with one-of-a-kind interactive learning experience from August.
“We are looking to create awareness in children through playful learning to unleash their imagination and creativity,” said KidzHolding SAL chairman and KidzMondo concept founder Ali Kazma.
The partnership announcement ceremony on Wednesday was also attended by KidzMondo Doha general manager Nabil Barakat, QA Commercial – Qatar senior vice president Ehab Amin and Marketing and Corporate Communications senior vice president Salam al-Shawa.
KidzMondo Doha will offer children an opportunity to enact their dream roles as pilots and cabin crew, and get an understanding of the functioning of the world-class airline within a specially adapted real aircraft model.
Children will also have the chance to explore the plane, examine its different parts, and become familiar with the daily tasks required of QA pilots and crew as they lead the global air space. Entrance fee will cost around QR110
Kazma added that they will start promoting KidzMondo to the public in June. Besides, they will also visit schools led by a dedicated team, as well as various organisations in the country.
According to Barakat, they want to create a professional world for children to help them become well-versed individuals “by empowering them with knowledge, key skills and life lessons in an entertaining way.”
Built around the concept of the ‘City of Education and Entertainment’, KidzMondo Doha features an interactive small-scale city developed for and managed solely by children between the age groups of 2 and 14.
The self-sufficient city includes over 80 real-life simulation activities across diverse business environments. It allows children to dress up and role-play realistic tasks in a safe, interactive and meaningful environment.
The entertainment park, with its own economy and currency, has been designed to provide a holistic experience to support physical and mental development among children, and help improve their self-esteem and confidence.
“We have put a lot of efforts to provide a realistic experience of being in control with one of the most successful airlines in the world, and also spotlight the in-flight details that have brought us to the pinnacle of this sector,” Amin said.
Built on a total indoor area of about 8000 square metres, KidzMondo Doha will partner with more than 60 brands that will sponsor various activities in the kids’ city and will open its doors in the Mall of Qatar.
The theme parks are benefiting from a growing need across the world for unique experiences aimed at children and youth that combine entertainment and education.
KidzMondo is actively present in Beirut and Istanbul, with expansion plans across the GCC including countries like UAE, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco and Algeria among others.
