Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the defendant was accused of beating the child after a dispute between children while playing.
The father of the victim took photos on his mobile phone of the man beating his son and causing him some mild injuries and submitted them to the police along with a complaint.
The child was also taken to the hospital which confirmed the physical assault on him.
However, the defendant denied beating the child and said that the injuries might have been caused when the child fell on the ground while playing. Yet, the court convicted him based on the police report and the submitted evidences.
