Fourteen exhibitions focusing on the human body and titled ‘Human Creation in the Holy Qur’an,’ have opened at the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara.
Running throughout the holy month and on display at Katara’s buildings 18, 19, 13, 22, and three, the exhibitions were opened by general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti.
The 3D exhibitions focuses on specific human organs such as heart, eyes, teeth, blood arteries, bones and fingerprints.
In addition, the exhibitions identify the functions of each human organ while stating a verse from the Holy Qur’an, identifying God’s miracles in human creation.
Other exhibitions on teeth, skin and nutrition will also be welcoming Katara visitors during the Ramadan Festival.
Dr al-Sulaiti explained that the exhibitions offer a unique and an interactive technique.
Visitors will be able to view the human organs featured in a 3D perspective through the installation of a mobile application called Augment, which can be downloaded on smartphones.
The exhibitions aim for a simplified explanation of the human organs, especially for children.A number of professional and medical experts will be available to interact with the public and offer the best and latest health tips.
The exhibitions, being held in co-operation with Al Naseem and Tadawi medical centres, will be open daily during Ramadan from 9am to 1pm and 7pm to midnight.
Other interactive shows will include 7D cinema theatre displays where movies and documentary films on the human body and organs, will be screened at the amphitheatre from 7pm to 11.30pm.
Other activities include a workshop to create hand sculpture with wax, offering attendees a chance to place their hand print on a panel at Building 13.
In addition, Katara will have the Iftar cannon on a daily basis along with Al Mesahar and the festive activities, Islamic lectures, interactive workshops and informative
exhibitions.
