A traffic diversion will be in place for 6 months starting from Saturday on a stretch of the northbound lanes of Mesaieed Road.
During the period, traffic for nearly 6km on the closed section of Mesaieed Road towards Al Wakra will be diverted to a parallel lane (As seen in the map).
The diversion is required to facilitate the construction of the new 10 lane (five lanes in each direction) Al Wakra bypass and eight-lane highway (four lanes in each direction) for The New Orbital Highway Project, Ashghal said.
