Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has handed over some 15 housing units, as part of the 'Houses of Gaza People" project, to a number of beneficiaries who lost their homes in recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
RAF said in a press release on Sunday that despite the blockade imposed on Gaza, the Foundation was able to implement this project at a total cost of QR1.5mn in collaboration with its partners in Gaza Strip, and deliver the houses to the beneficiaries during a ceremony attended by representatives of public and private bodies.

The Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mofeed al-Hasayneh, stressed the importance of this project, which was carried out with ''accuracy'' and ''transparency'', praising Qatar's Emir, government and people for their efforts in supporting and standing by their brothers in Palestine and their generous support, especially through reconstruction projects, according to the release.
At least 60% of the total number of destroyed residential houses have been rebuilt, in addition to repairing more than 130,000 partially damaged housing units in co-operation with the relevant authorities and institutions, particularly Qatar, the release quoted al-Hasayneh as saying.
Meanwhile, director of Ambassadors of Compassion Department in RAF, expressed satisfaction over delivering 15 housing units to the beneficiaries in Gaza Strip, noting that the project is a message of love and support from the Qatari people for the people of Gaza.
