Retaj Al Rayyan Hotel, which recently opened in Makkah, has successfully hosted its first pilgrims for the 2016 Haj season.
Commenting on this, hotel general manager Islam Yussri expressed his “deep thanks and appreciation” to the government of Saudi Arabia for the successful Haj season.
“We faced a challenge in providing special services and accommodating more than 3,000 guests from different traditions and nationalities (Qatar, Yemen, Egypt, Oman, Turkey, Iraq and Tunisia), but ensured that Retaj’s high standard of service was in place to achieve guest satisfaction. This was possible due to the teamwork of all staff members and the management. I would like to thank them all for a job well done,” said Yussri.
The hotel is located in the Ash Shishah area under Al Rawda bridge, 15 minutes away from Al Haram through the Al Fiasaleyah tunnel and 10 minutes from the Al-Aziziya shopping area. Retaj Al Rayyan Makkah Hotel offers free transportation to and from the Haram round-the-clock.
The hotel is part of Qatari business group Retaj Hotels & Hospitality.
Retaj Al Rayyan Makkah Hotel offers 670 rooms, suites, studios and rooms with multi-beds upon guests’ request, in addition to a separate mosque for men and women. It also features a restaurant offering an open buffet that caters to all tastes, a coffee shop, meeting rooms and free Internet service throughout the hotel. The hotel rooms’ designs were inspired by the authentic Arabian heritage found in all Retaj Hotels in Qatar, Turkey and Comoros Islands.
“Retaj Al Rayyan Makkah is the perfect home for all visitors and pilgrims in Makkah, as well as tourists and businessmen alike,”
according to a statement.
