Quality Group International is opening its seventh retail outlet in Qatar at Al Khor on January 1, it was announced on Wednesday.
The opening is scheduled for 11am.
Quality Group chairman Shamsudheen Olakara explained that the three-storey Quality Mall, spread over 140,000sft, would feature a number of franchises, outlets and independent kiosks, dealing in fashion accessories, apparels, home appliances, electronic goods and more.
The Quality Mall is surrounded by a parking area which could accommodate nearly 300 cars, he said.
The Quality Hypermarket at the mall would sell a wide range of food items, groceries and household wares, said Olakara, while adding that it would also have money exchanges, beauty saloons, confectioneries, laundry, pharmacy and a food court. There are about 50 independent retail outlets at the complex.
The Quality Mall would also feature an 18,000ft entertainment zone, which includes a bowling alley, virtual cricket and football centre, gaming zone, and a conceptual snow house, which the operators termed as a new attraction in the country.
A host of attractive offers and discounts are being given to customers to mark the opening, according to Olakara, who also announced that the company has acquired retail space to launch another hypermarket in Wakrah. It is expected to be commissioned in the middle of 2017.
The Quality Group's first hypermarket in Malaysia will be ready for opening in March-April 2017. It is located about 75km south of Kuala Lumpur, he said.
The group is also entering the retail market in Abu Dhabi.
Quality Group International is also running a hypermarket in India's Bengaluru.
Besides Olakara, Quality Group officials Shahid, Ramshad Hassan, Mins Mathew and Rayees Ahamed were also present at the press conference.
