Foggy weather and low visibility are expected in different parts of Qatar over the weekend, the Met department has said.
Higher temperatures are also likely in Doha and other places during this period, though the nights will be cold. Also, there is a “weak chance of light rain” in the northern parts of the country on Saturday, according to the weather office.
On Friday, hazy to misty/foggy conditions are expected in inshore areas in the early hours of the day. This will bring down visibility in those areas to 2km or less.
Mild daytime conditions are also likely along with some clouds, and it will be cold by night.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, will see hazy to misty conditions while clouds are also expected at times, the report states.
After dropping for the past few days, the temperature is likely to rise during the weekend, particularly in Doha.
A minimum temperature of 10C is expected on Friday in Abu Samra, 11C in Dukhan and 12C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, while in Doha it will be 18C. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 26C in Abu Samra and 25C in Doha.
On Thursday, a minimum temperature of 8C was recorded in Abu Samra and Karana until 5.30pm, followed by 9C in Dukhan and Ghuwairiya. In the capital, the minimum was 16C in the Doha airport area.
