Babyshop names winners of ‘Expressions’ competition

Babyshop has concluded the second season of “Expressions” by announcing the winners of the drawing competition presented by Babyshop Qatar for children aged between five and 14 years.A grand prize distribution ceremony was held at Centrepoint, Al Asmakh Mall, on Friday, April 7.Participants were divided into three age categories – 5-7 years, 8-10 years, and 11-14 years – and covered the themes “My family”, “Save water”, and “Global warming”.A panel of judges, including R Udaya Shankar from Birla Public School, Salwa Hamdy from Oscar Academy, and painter Pratibha Pai, was appointed to select the competition winners.The first three winners were awarded in each category.In the 5-7 years category with the theme “My family”, Thamara R Pillai won first prize, followed by Bindiya Pramod, and Pranav Sai clinching the third prize.In the 8-10 years category with the theme “Save water”, Maria Beatrice claimed the first prize, Pranay Mukala took the second prize, and Nazeel P Sageer won the third prize.In the 11-14 years category with the theme “Global warming”, Nidhi Noronha took home the first prize, while the second prize went to Sarang Santosh, and Harsha Jalan winning the third prize.Landmark Group Qatar chief operating officer Santosh Pai said: “The response to ‘Expressions’ was overwhelming. This competition provided an excellent platform for kids to explore and portray their creativity. “I would specially like to thank all the parents who have made the efforts and encouraged their kids to participate this year.”He also thanked the judges and volunteers who made the event a success.The judges were also presented souvenirs as a token of gratitude for supporting the competition.Babyshop is a leading one-stop destination for children’s products in the region.
