There is a chance of scattered light rain in the northern and central parts of Qatar on Friday, the Met department has said.
The weather report also shows that another hot day – with the temperature nearing the mid-40C mark in some places – is likely in the country on Friday.
The maximum temperature for Friday is expected to be 44C in Abu Samra, 40C in Dukhan and 39C in Doha.
Thursday, too, Abu Samra was the hottest place in the country at 44C, followed by Sheehaniya, Turayna, Karana, Batna and Jumayliya at 43C, while in Doha the maximum temperature was 36C.
The detailed forecast for Friday says hot daytime conditions are expected during the day along with slight dust and local clouds. There is a possibility of scattered light rain in the northern and central areas.
Offshore, it will be hazy in some places and some clouds are also likely.
