Construction of at least three health centres is expected to be over by the third quarter of this year, according to reports in the latest issue of Ashghal's in-house magazine.
The health centres are at Al Wajba, Muaither and Al Waab.
The report said 75% of the work of the QR170mn health and wellness centre in Muaither is complete. The project is spread over 19,000sqm and has 480 parking lots.
The centre will have 45 clinics, including 10 exclusively for the dental department.
The other health centre being built near Umm Salama Primray School in Al Wajba too is nearing completion. It is spread over 20,000sqm and has space for 45 clinics. The total construction cost is about QR170mn.
The report said more than three-fourths of the work of the Al Waab clinic is complete. It is spread over 10,000sqm and has space for 28 clinics.
Al Jamaa Health Centre, located on the southern side of Qatar University, will be ready towards the end of the year. It is being built at a cost of QR150mn, and has a built-up area of more than 23,000sqm with 28 clinics. More than 500 cars can be parked at the site.
