City's bus users have sought the operation of public transport bus services from the Doha Bus Station (DBS) to the Industrial Area and Asian Town through roads other than their existing routes.

Some of the bus passengers said it would be beneficial to many residents, especially on the weekends if some of the existing buses to the Industrial Area from the DBS are diverted through such routes as Najma Street, Gulf Cinema Signal, Al Thumama Signal, and F-Ring Road.

It is also felt that such changes on the routes of buses would also facilitate their easier journey on the weekends when there are apparently more travellers. As of now, most of the Industrial Area buses are operated through the surroundings of Jaidah Tower, Jaidah Bridge, Ramada Signal, Midmac fly over and Decoration round about and Vegetable Market area.

A few services are also operated through Muntazah Signal.

There are hardly any service from the DBS to Industrial Area through routes other than their existing two routes.

When contacted some of the passengers said the bus services through the new routes would help them reach such places as the Religious Complex, Barwa City and Asian Town, particularly on the weekends.

Similarly, there has also been requests from passengers operate the Industrial Area buses from City Center Doha (CCD) as well, at least on the weekends. As of now, passengers from the Industrial Area need to get down at the DBS for their onward journey to the CCD.

Some of the passengers also feel they would be better served by the buses if some of the services currently operated as circulars changed their existing longer routes and run on roads where there is apparently more patronage. Bus users said such routes as 301, 302, 303 and 304 could be made more useful and meaningful if their existing routes are changed.
