Sidra Medical and Research Center (Sidra) will host the scholarship open day at its Outpatient Clinic in Education City from 8pm to 11pm tomorrow.
High school students (Qataris and those with Qatari mothers) who are interested in studying medicine or allied health related majors are invited to the scholarship open day.
Students and their parents are invited to the Sidra Outpatient Clinic where they will be able to talk to national development officers about scholarship opportunities, hear from sponsored healthcare professionals about their journey of growth and development supported by Sidra. They will also be able to apply for scholarships on the spot. Students will be required to carry their national ID cards with them to register.
Scholarships are being offered for students (Qataris and those with Qatari mothers), including financial and non-financial assistance, in a variety of universities in Qatar and internationally, which are listed on the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s website.
Upon graduation, the scholarship recipients will take up positions at Sidra – working towards the realisation of its three essential missions: Patient Care, Medical Education and Biomedical Research.
Scholarships are available for degrees such as medical degree or equivalent; bachelor in nursing, pharmacy and psychology; allied health programmes offered at the College of North Atlantic – Qatar and technician programmes such as ultrasound tech, laboratory tech and anaesthesia tech.
