Hamad International Airport (HIA) has advised departing passengers travelling during the Eid period “to be sure to check in online, arrive three hours prior to their flight and use the E-gates to avoid queues” to continue enjoying comfortable and seamless travel through HIA.In a notification on its website, the HIA also reminded travellers that check-in would close 60 minutes prior to departure. To assist the general public who will be dropping off or collecting passengers, HIA says it has extended complimentary parking in the short-term car park for the first one hour, until June 28, and will cost QR5 per hour thereafter.Passengers also have the option of parking their vehicles in the airport’s long-term car park, which provides customers with a regular shuttle service to the main terminal. The advisory also points out that only passengers holding valid tickets and passports will be allowed access into the departures check-in hall until June 28.
