The Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) General Cleaning Department has continued its efforts to clean the beaches of the country and keep them ready for the influx of visitors during Eid holidays.
Safar Mubarak al-Shafi, director of the department, pointed out that the department has formed a number of teams spread around the country’s beaches to clean them, as such efforts go on around the clock during the holidays.
Further, the cleaning teams collected all the refuse on the Sealine Beach very early in the morning yesterday.
Though garbage bins were easily accessible on the beach, many visitors had thrown wastes in undesignated areas on Friday, littering the area.
