Qatar Airways cancels flights to Miami

Qatar Airways has cancelled its flights to and from Miami in the US today in view of “adverse weather conditions”.“Qatar Airways flights QR777 from Doha to Miami and QR778 from Miami to Doha have been cancelled for 11 September due to adverse weather conditions,” the airline said in a travel alert on its website.The Doha-based carrier also said passengers holding tickets to or from Miami are advised to contact their local booking agent and check the Flight Status tab on the Qatar Airways website for latest updates.Earlier, the airline had announced the cancellation of its flights to and from Miami yesterday and on Saturday on similar grounds.Hurricane Irma bore down on southern Florida yesterday with 210kph winds, flooding Miami streets and knocking out power to more than 1.6mn homes and businesses.
