Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) has announced that the application period for qualified Qatari professionals looking to further develop their leadership abilities will be open from today until October 21.
QLC has invited Qataris who stand out in their field and are committed to learning to take part in a yearlong, multidisciplinary programme. QLC’s Executive Leaders, Rising Leaders and Government Leaders programmes are open to participants from all sectors aiming to enhance their career and deepen their contribution to Qatar’s development goals.
Qualified individuals can apply online for the 2018-2019 programmes, QLC has said in a press statement.
Since its inception, QLC has empowered Qatari leaders to contribute to the country’s success. More than 400 high-performing Qatari professionals have completed QLC’s National Leadership programmes, the statement notes.
QLC’s Executive Leaders Programme, Rising Leaders Programme and Government Leaders Programme require a time commitment of three to five days per month over the course of a year, and can be completed in parallel with professional responsibilities. Approval from the participant’s employer is required before enrolment.
Sheikh Dr Abdulla bin Ali al-Thani, board member and managing director of QLC, said: “Through the National Leadership programmes, talented and dedicated professionals learn how to expand their impact and contribute to the prosperity of future generations.”
QLC participants gain insights on an array of topics, including strategic planning, risk management, building high-performance teams and innovation. The training comprises modules designed by some of the most renowned institutions from around the world.
Enrolment in one of the three programmes is preceded by a rigorous selection process that takes into account work experience, academic background and business acumen amongst other requirements.
To enter the Executive Leaders Programme, Qatari professionals must be between the ages of 36 and 46 years with at least 10 years of work experience. Eligibility requirements for application also include having a bachelor’s degree, along with dual proficiency in English and Arabic.
