A soldier on anti-terrorism patrol in Paris was attacked by a man who was subsequently arrested, France's armed forces minister said on Friday.
The incident, in which the soldier in question was not injured, was the latest of several attacks on troops deployed in large numbers to patrol sensitive places in France after a series of attacks by militants that have killed more than 230 people in France in the past three years.
The latest incident was confirmed by armed forces minister Florence Parly in an interview on Europe 1 radio.
