Partial road closure on Al Hamd Street

A partial closure will be in place from Saturday on Al Hamd Street,which connects Al Wajbah Street and Al Shafi Street in Rayyan area tocomplete road construction and utility works on the stretch. The closure until March next year will be on local roads to the south ofEducation City, Ashghal said yesterday. Road users travelling betweenAl Rayyan Al Jadeed Street and Al Wajbah Street are advised to take thefollowing routes: Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street to Al Wajbah Street – Roadusers from Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street towards Al Wajbah Street will berequired to take a right turn onto Ermaila Street and continue straightuntil they reach Al Wajbah Street. Commuters will then need to turnright onto Al Wajbah Street, do a U-turn and return towards theroundabout at the intersection of Al Wajbah and Al Hamd Street. Al Wajbah and Al Hamd Street to Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street: Commuterscoming from Al Wajbah Street and Al Hamd Street towards Al Rayyan AlJadeed Street will be able to continue straight to Al Shafi Street asusual, but the number of lanes will be reduced to just one for a 260msection of Al Hamd Street to accommodate both directions of travel.
