Qatar football players take part in school sports event

As part of the Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) social responsibility strategy, Qatar senior and Olympic national teams’ stars Wahem AlMoez Ali, Tamim al-Muhaiza, and Sultan al-Brek took part in a sports event organised by Abdullah bin Ali al-Misnad Secondary School yesterday in Al Khor. The event, which was under the theme ‘Tamim Al Majd’, a symbol of pride to the nation, involved organising a fun and exciting football match between the students and the Qatar senior and Olympic national team players. The national teams players and captain Saeed al-Misnad, along with the QFA national teams technical adviser signed footballs and took memorable pictures with the students in the fun-packed event. The event was attended by QFA Director of Operations of National Teams Department Ahmed Abbassi, QFA Head of Communications Ali al-Salat, and National Teams Technical Advisor Captain Saeed al-Misnad, and supervised by Jassim Jumaa al-Muraikhy, School Principal, and Ali Saad al-Humaidi, Deputy School Principal for Administration and Student Affairs. Jassim Jumaa al-Muraikhy, School Principal handed the QFA delegation certificates of appreciation to thank them for attending the school’s sports event and interacting with the students which helped educate the students about the positive values of football.He commented: “The day ended on a positive note and represented the true sense of community and unity in Qatar which made everyone feel proud to celebrate under the theme ‘Tamim Al Majd’. “I would like to thank the QFA for attending our school’s event and positively impacting our students. The QFA is in constant communication with the local schools in Qatar to ensure we are a part of all their community engagement initiatives.”  Ahmed Abbassi, QFA Director of Operations of National Teams Department said: “Our presence at today’s sports event organised by Abdullah bin Ali al-Misnad Secondary School in Al Khor falls under the QFA’s social responsibility framework and strategy which focuses on the importance of constantly building on our relationship with the schools and local community.” He added: “The participation of our national teams stars highlights the collaboration between the QFA National Teams Department and the QFA Marketing and Communications Department, which includes visiting various schools in Qatar or inviting school students to visit the headquarters of the national teams.”Tamim al-Muhaizah, national team player expressed his happiness for participating in the school’s event with his teammates which promotes communication between the players and students who are fans of the game.He said: “We have taken this opportunity to interact with the students, who are passionate about football, and it showed us how loyal they are to the sport and the Qatar national teams. We hope to see them in our matches supporting us and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere in the stadium.”
