The Education Malaysia Fair will be held on November 17 and 18 at Movenpick Hotel West Bay Doha, organisers announced yesterday. 
“The main purpose of the exhibition is to provide students from Qatar with extensive and insightful information on diverse and quality educational opportunities in Malaysia,” it was explained in a statement. 
The Education Malaysia Fair is organised by MY Aspiration (Malaysia) and Oyoon Al Doha (Qatar). The event, led by Education Malaysia Dubai, will bring together six reputable Malaysian Universities namely Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Curtin University Malaysia, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, International Medical University, Sunway University and the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.
Malaysia is currently ranked the world’s 9th most preferred study destination by Unesco, and number one in the Top 10 Most Affordable Cities for Students in 2017 (QS Best Student Cities).
There are 172,886 international students from 160 countries who are currently pursuing their studies in international schools, colleges, universities, language centres and training institutes in Malaysia. From this, 40,000 are from the Middle East and North Africa countries, including expatriates and Qatari students from Qatar. 
“Malaysia is also hosting branch campuses of prestigious universities from the UK, the US, Australia, China and students pay only a fraction of the cost when studying in Malaysia compared to what they need to pay in the main campus,” the statement added.
