At least two people were killed and ten others were injured in separate incidents in Afghanistan's capital Kabul and the eastern province of Nangarhar, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Two Afghan security forces were killed and six others were injured in three back-to-back explosions in the city of Jalalabad, said Attaullah Khugyani, a spokesman for Nangarhar's provincial governor.
The explosions took place close to a private radio and TV station in the city, Khugyani added.
The first explosion was due to a magnetic bomb attached to a rickshaw while the other two are still unclear, Khugyani said.
A police officer speaking on condition of anonymity said one police officer was killed and three intelligence officers were wounded in one of the blasts, which reportedly targeted security forces.
In the meantime, another magnetic bomb attached to an Afghan army recruiting booth detonated in Kabul, leaving four civilians injured, Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the interior ministry, told dpa.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the blasts.
The magnetic bombs are a new tactic used by militants targeting Afghan government officials.
On November 23, a suicide bomb blast left at least eight civilians dead and 17 others injured in Nangarhar.
