Emir condoles with Oman’s Sultan Qaboos
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables of condolences to Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, on the death of Turki bin Mahmoud al-Said.

Fire in Qatar Airways aircraft’s cabin put out
A Qatar Airways Airbus A321 aircraft positioned at a remote stand at Hamad International Airport (HIA) experienced a fire whilst under maintenance yesterday at 6.50am, the airline said in a statement. “The fire inside the cabin was promptly contained and extinguished. There was some damage to the aircraft but there were no injuries. “A full investigation is being conducted by the local authorities to establish the cause. Traffic at HIA was not affected.”
