US JetBlue flight went off taxiway after landing in Boston

An aircraft of JetBlue airlines plane skidded off the taxiway at Boston's Logan Airport in Massachusetts state in US, night after reportedly hitting a patch of ice on Monday.

JetBlue Flight 50 from Savannah, Georgia, encountered the ice shortly after landing at Logan, skidding off the taxiway, spinning as it slid and ending up facing the opposite direction, according to ABC news network.

Responding to air traffic controllers after the incident, one of the plane's pilots said, ‘everything's fine, we just skidded on the ice,’ according to an audio transcript.

Logan airport officials said the departure and arrival flights had been stopped at the airport for about an hour after the snowfall and low visibility resulted in a large drop in safety indicators on the runway.
