Dusty conditions were reported from parts of Qatar, including Doha, yesterday even as the Qatar Met department said poor visibility was expected in most areas, as well as offshore, in the early hours today due to fog. According to a post on the department’s Twitter page last night, weather charts showed high humidity levels and chances of misty to foggy conditions in most places. The conditions were likely to continue until this morning, prompting the weather office to urge people to be cautious and follow latest updates through its official social media accounts. The detailed forecast for today said visibility might drop to 2km or less in some places due to the foggy/misty conditions, to be followed by mild daytime conditions, some clouds and a cold night. Slight dust and some clouds are also expected offshore. The minimum temperature today is expected to be 9C in Abu Samra, 10C in Al Khor and 14C in Doha. Yesterday, the minimum was 8C in Turayna and Karana, while in Doha it was 15C. Pictured is the West Bay skyline, partially shrouded in dust, yesterday. PICTURE: Shaji Kayamkulam
