Ashghal will close for 12 hours a stretch of Al Matar Street (Airport Road) between D-Ring and C-Ring roads in both directions to install a steel structure of a pedestrian bridge on Al Matar Street.
The closure, in co-ordination with the Traffic Department, will start at 11pm Thursday and last until 11am on Friday.
During the diversion, drivers can use the service roads on both sides of Al Matar Street to move between the D-Ring and C-Ring roads, and to reach the neighbouring local roads (as shown on the map).
The new pedestrian bridge aims to enhance traffic safety and enable pedestrians to safely cross Al Matar Street and reach commercial buildings in the area.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure.
The authority has requested road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
