Ooredoo
announced yesterday that it will broadcast two new radio channels via
its Ooredoo tv service, the Ooredoo tv App, and from April 2018, the
Ooredoo App.
The new channels have been added as part of Ooredoo’s
ongoing investment in ensuring the best entertainment is available for
all its customers. Radio Olive (106.3FM) is the first Hindi FM channel
to be aired from the State of Qatar and will provide the best of
entertainment and music to expats from the Indian subcontinent. Radio
Suno (91.7FM) is the first Malayalam FM channel in Qatar and will
provide a broad range of programming for South Indian expats. Speaking
about the new content, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of PR and
Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We invest heavily to
ensure a range of international content is available for all our
customers, and we’re delighted to add both Radio Olive and Radio Suno to
our Ooredoo tv and Apps.”
Krishna Kumar, director of Radio Olive,
said: “The entire team of Olive and Suno Radio is extremely happy about
this association with Ooredoo, and I believe this is a historic moment
for all the listeners of the two networks in Qatar.” This is the latest
content announcement from Ooredoo in 2018, and the company has announced
it will continue to update and invest in its entertainment portfolio.
